Cath is a wonder-woman: Sydney-based lawyer, Zumba instructor, and food blogger at Confessions of a Glutton.
She cooks because she enjoys making her own healthy food without preservatives and flavourings, but also because she loves decadent treats, unusual ingredients and new techniques.
That is what lead her to create this enormous Birthday cake (as she called it herself “monstrosity”) with several sleeves, cooking techniques, textures and tastes.
Why this Chocolate and salted caramel Birthday cake recipe?
Cath: I chose this recipe because it was my 25th birthday cake! There has been a lot of these over-extravagant cakes popping up all over Sydney these days, and I wanted to try and make one myself for my quarter-life celebration.
